England Soapworks

Design flexibility coupled with sustainable heating and cooling.

Soapworks, originally home to Colgate-Palmolive in the 1800’s, is situated in Salford Quays, Manchester. There was a lot of work done to change the original factory into an office space.

When looking for a suitable air conditioning system for the sustainable and low carbon regeneration of Soapworks in Manchester, the developer selected a Panasonic VRF system.

Soapworks required a system that could operate impeccably under the floor to suit the interior design of the building. Since the system was under floor and temperature control using off-coil was the base, the Panasonic 3-Pipe Ecoi MF2 Series satisfied the requirements.

Another key requirement was energy efficiency. The Panasonic system was selected for this project because it could guarantee consistent temperature control of 16 degrees.
